The Serra Henriques Foundation coordinated this initiative in collaboration with the managing bodies of the Portuguese Association of Spatial Planners, the Portuguese Association of Urban Planners and the Portuguese Professional Association of Urban Planners, within the framework of the merger of these three associations, which they agreed upon and carried out.

This formal sitting, taking place at Centro Cultural de Belém, was the culmination of the whole process and corresponds to the establishment of the new Portuguese professional association of urban planners, APU - Portuguese Association of Urban Planners.
