Plano Lisboa - Critical Cities

For a month, Lisbon Municipality's Gaivotas Cultural Pole hosted a series of conferences with the support of the Serra Henriques Foundation.
Luís Santiago Baptista, Gonçalo M. Tavares, Mário Caeiro and Catarina Pombo Nabais were the guest commissars invited to debate the relationship of Contemporary Art with public space, Architecture and Urban Planning, communications systems, the different urban communities, collaborative policies and city development.
Plano
Lisboa has the objective of creating synergies and mechanisms that bring the
community together and reinforce cultural identity, using contemporary artistic
production and architecture as a means of communication, widened debate and
civic construction. It is a widened programme of contemporary art that aims to
think cultural production in its relationship with the city, in a dialogue with
the social, historic and architectonic factors that constitute it.
