European Forum for Architecture Policies

The Serra Henriques Foundation participates in the European Forum for Architecture Policies, dedicated to the debate and promotion of architecture, urban planning and territorial development policies, that allies public governance, culture and education.

Among various objectives, this Forum intends to disseminate and share knowledge and good practice in the domain of urban policies and spatial planning.

The European Forum for Architecture Policies originated in an international conference, in 1997, under the Dutch presidency of the European Union, that brought together representatives of European governments, cultural institutions and professional associations to share experiences and perspectives on Architecture Policies in the EU. Since then, biannual meetings have taken place, organized by the Member-State that then presides the EU.

Currently, and in the framework of the implementation of the National Architecture and Landscape Policy, the Serra Henriques Foundation develops a cooperation with the Portuguese Association of Architects in order to assure the Portuguese participation in this European Forum.
