INTBAU International Conference 2017
International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture and Urbanism
As the Portuguese partner of the INTBAU network, the Serra Henriques Foundation was represented in this international meeting in Milan to draw attention towards the implementation of the Traditional Architecture Prize, in Portugal, and other initiatives concerning the valorization of local patrimony and identities.
This conference is organized every year in one of the countries of the global network in order to stimulate broader participation. The 2017 event takes place on the 5th and 6th of July, in Italy, and is dedicated to the methodologies of intervention in historic urban landscapes, traditional construction and urban planning.
INTBAU is a charitable educational organization that works under the High Patronage of it founder, His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, to promote traditional Architecture and Urban Planning.
The global network includes units in 27 countries: Germany, Australia, Afganistan, Albania, Canada, Cuba, Cyprus, Spain, the Island States, Scandinavia, Egypt, Estonia, United States of America, Phillipines, Italy, India, Iran, Ireland, Montenegro, Nigeria, Holland, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, United Kingdon, Romania and Russia.
